Your Professional Record

A member of staff’s verifiable working history: built from what their employers already confirm, owned by them rather than the school, published line by line at their own choosing, and checkable by a hiring school that has never heard of us.

Your Professional Record

The thing your staff take with them when they go

Everyone else on this platform gets something back. Pupils get results, families get visibility, the office gets a school it can run. Staff do the data entry that produces all three and leave with a CV nobody can check — which is also the school’s problem, because the next teacher you hire arrives with the same unverifiable page. This is the ledger you already keep, turned into something a person can carry: where they worked and for how long, the posts they held with dates, what they taught, their qualifications, the training they completed. They choose what to publish, it follows them to their next school, and a head teacher who has never used this platform can check it in one field. Their appraisal ratings, their pay, and anything at all to do with pupils are never part of it.

Step 1 · A member of staff

Built from what the school already confirms

Nothing on this page was typed by anybody. Each line names the contract, appointment, certificate or completed appraisal it came from, which is exactly what makes it worth checking — and what makes it impossible for a school to write a career into it.

1

Their working history, grouped the way a CV is

Employment, posts held, what they taught, milestones, qualifications, training. Each line carries the school that confirms it — and the ones the school has NOT confirmed say so, in words, because a page that showed an employer’s assertion and a person’s own claim in the same typeface would be lending our credibility to something nobody checked.

“Confirmed by St. Mary’s” and “Stated by you” are labelled differently on every single line
Three figures at the top, and none of them is a score: what is on your public page, how many schools stand behind it, and whether anything is waiting on an answer
Every entry starts hidden. Nothing is published because you were employed somewhere
A switch per line — you decide what a stranger sees, not your employer
Appraisal completions are the one kind that stays off by default: “completed an appraisal” reads differently to a stranger than it does inside HR
2

Milestones, with every rule written out

A milestone is a job finished — a full year as form teacher, a whole term of results in before the term ended, three training programmes completed with certificates. Not a badge, not a level, and never a count of how much somebody did.

Every criterion is printed whether or not it has been earned: a record that measured you without telling you what would be a game with hidden rules
Awarded for complete academic periods only, so the earliest any can appear is the end of a term
Nothing is earned by volume — “a full term of results” is satisfied or it is not, and submitting more of anything cannot move it
Most of the list is open to staff who never take a register: the bursar, the librarian, the matron, the store keeper
No milestone reads a mark you awarded, a behaviour point you gave, or whether a child was present — one you could earn faster by judging a pupil differently is one we will not build

Step 2 · A member of staff

The link, and the code that proves it

Two different things, and the difference matters. The link is an address — short, readable, guessable, printed on a CV. The code is a credential, and it is the one thing standing between the open internet and somebody’s employment history.

1

Private, by link, or public — their decision alone

While a record is private its link returns exactly what it would for a link nobody ever registered: no page, no “this record is private”, nothing that would confirm the person exists. There is no screen anywhere in this product where a school publishes or unpublishes somebody’s record.

Photo and email are separate opt-ins on top: going public must never quietly publish a face and a way to be contacted
The link is guessable on purpose — that is what makes it printable
The verification code is 12 characters over an alphabet with no I, L, O or U, because it gets read off paper
Rotatable: a code printed on a CV three years ago is still in circulation, and one click retires it
The headline and summary are the only prose here that is not derived from a school’s records — and they are labelled as the person’s own

See this on your own school’s data.

Step 3 · The school office

What you confirm — and what you cannot change

The screen to read carefully is this one, and the thing to notice is what is missing from it. There is no “add entry” button, no edit, no delete. That absence is the product: a register a school can type into is a register nobody outside the school has any reason to trust.

1

Everyone you confirm something about

Current staff and former staff alike, with what your school asserts about each. All of it derived from your own contracts, appointments, certificates and completed appraisals — so if a line is wrong, it is wrong in the record it came from, and that is where it gets fixed.

No create, no edit, no delete — anywhere on this screen or behind it
“Awaiting an answer” is the only figure here that is somebody’s job
You see what YOUR school says. Where else somebody has worked is theirs to show, and you get a count rather than a list
Which lines they chose to publish is a number, never a list: that decision is not the school’s business
A former colleague’s record survives here after they leave — and after you close your account, because a school deleting its data must not delete a person’s history of working there
2

When somebody says an entry is wrong

They can challenge any line the school asserts, and it comes off their public page while you look. You cannot settle it by retyping the entry — you correct the contract, appointment or certificate behind it, and their record re-derives from your corrected data.

Two answers: “we have corrected our records”, or “we have looked, and the entry is right”
Correcting the source fixes it everywhere else you use that data too, not just on their page
Standing by an entry is a legitimate answer, and it is not recorded as a mark against anyone
Every school can do this, including one that has bought nothing beyond the base package — a right of reply that only paying schools could honour would not be one

Set this up for your team.

Step 4 · A member of staff

The half that makes the rest of it trustworthy

A record nobody can challenge is a rumour with a logo on it. This is the screen that stops that — and the reason a hiring school can take the rest of the page seriously.

1

What they challenged, and what the school said

Raising a challenge takes the entry off their public page immediately, before anybody has looked at it. That is the right default: while a person says a line about them is wrong, it should not be on the page a hiring school is reading.

The school’s reply is on the record, in their words
Withdrawable — somebody who was mistaken can say so
A school correcting its data rebuilds the record from the fixed version; nothing is edited by hand at either end
History is corrected, never erased: an entry withdrawn in error keeps its row and says who withdrew it
