Frequently asked questions
What’s included in the base platform versus an add-on?
The base platform is the full core system — student records, academics, attendance, results, behaviour, access control, analytics and all four portals — and it is always on. Modules like Finance, HR, Library, Hostel, Health Clinic and the School Store are optional add-ons you switch on when you need them; each bills only its own usage.
How does pricing work?
You buy prepaid credit, and the platform deducts your actual daily running cost from it: each entity you run — every active student, staff account, boarder, catalogued book copy — is billed per day at a published rate, and consumption like emails, SMS and invoices is pay-as-you-go above generous free monthly quotas. A per-day statement itemises every count and rate, so you can check the arithmetic behind every naira.
What happens when our credit runs out?
Access pauses until you top up — nothing is deleted and your data stays safe exactly as you left it. Topping up restores access instantly. You’ll see low-balance warnings well before that, based on your projected daily burn.
Are there contracts or renewal dates?
No. There is no subscription term, no renewal and no cancellation fee — credit simply lasts as long as your daily usage lets it. Top up any amount, any time, and switch modules on or off whenever you like.
What happens to billing when a student leaves?
A student who exits — graduates, transfers or is expelled — stops counting from the very next day, and your daily cost drops with them. The same applies to staff who leave and boarders who check out: you only ever pay for who is actually on the roll each morning.
Can we manage more than one school?
Yes. The School Groups & Districts module adds centralized administration, cross-school analytics, consolidated reporting and group-managed billing for multi-school operators.
How do parents pay fees?
Fees are collected online through Paystack. Parents see outstanding balances and payment history in their portal, pay securely, and download receipts — with everything reconciled against the school’s finance ledger automatically.
Do you support multiple currencies?
Yes. Finance runs a per-currency ledger, so schools operating across currencies get an accurate net position without manual conversion.
Can we move our existing data in?
